And Why You Shouldn't Miss the Next One

Last week, we opened up the mic (virtually) and invited our community to ask us anything. The result was an honest, wide-ranging conversation that touched on everything from project approvals to payment methods to getting the most out of your profile.

What We Covered

Hosted live on our Community platform by Miren Lauzurika, Head of Community, the session was built around one simple idea: give our members a direct line to ask what's really on their minds — and get real answers.

And that's exactly what happened. Questions came in fast, covering topics like:

• Why some applications aren't approved into a project, and what members can do to strengthen future applications

• How our different payment methods work, so there's no confusion when it comes to getting paid

• How to enhance your profile, to stand out and make the most of the opportunities available on the platform

No question was off the table, and no topic was too small — because we know that the details matter when it's your work and your time on the line.

Listening Beyond the Answers

Just as important as answering questions was listening to them. During the session, we heard some of the most pressing concerns our members have, and we want to be transparent: we're already working on how to improve, fix, or change several of the issues that came up. This isn't a one-off listening exercise — it's an ongoing commitment to act on what we hear.

Why We Do This

Miren has spent more than seven years with the company, and in that time has always looked closely after our community and the concerns that come with it. That perspective shapes why these sessions exist in the first place.

The purpose is simple: to stay genuinely in touch with our members, and to make sure everyone has a place to speak up, voice concerns, and work through issues together. We believe there's an expert in every one of our members, and that everyone deserves to be heard on the platform. Our members are what make this community what it is — and sessions like this are how we make sure that shows, not just in words, but in action.
