A recap of our first-ever leadership webinar, hosted by the OneForma Engagement Team

The Future of AI Work Is Human — Here’s What Our Leadership Had to Say
Last week, Aleksandar and Miren from our Engagement Team brought together some of OneForma’s most senior voices for what turned out to be one of the most candid and energising conversations this community has seen. Joining us were Prithivi, Senior Vice President, Jenn, Vice President, Pooja, Associate Vice President, and Wentao, Head of Engineering. We also want to give a special mention to Nilay, Head of Product, who couldn’t make it this time — but we are already working with her on future sessions, so watch this space.
The conversation was open, unscripted, and built around one central question: where is AI going, and what does that mean for you? One of the most powerful themes that carried through the entire session was the irreplaceable value of human expertise. As Jenn put it, “Human intelligence drives machine intelligence. It cannot be the other way around.” This reflects something very real happening in the industry right now — AI systems have now ingested almost all of the world’s existing data, which means they need new, specific, human-generated data that doesn’t exist yet. That is why the work on the platform is getting more specialised, not less.
This also raised the question of who actually counts as an expert — and the answer was broader than many might expect. “When we talk about experts, it is not just limited to STEM or robotics. If you are a baker, if you are a chef, if you operate a complex machine — we need your expertise!” shared Pooja. Miren echoed this perfectly: “Just because you don’t have a PhD doesn’t mean you’re not an expert. If you have been working in a field for twenty-plus years, you are one.”
OneForma’s mission goes beyond matching contributors to projects. It is about helping every member of this community reach their full potential — by giving them the tools, the knowledge, and the connections to grow in a field that is moving fast. Whether you are a seasoned linguist, a domain specialist, or someone who has spent decades mastering a craft, there is a place for you here and work that only you can do. As Pooja put it, “The human layer is our quality layer. Your judgment call is what differentiates data from garbage.”
Transparency and collaboration are not just values we talk about — they are the way we operate. Sessions like this one exist because you deserve to hear directly from the people making decisions and feel genuinely connected to the work you contribute to. This was the first webinar of its kind, and it will not be the last.

Up next, join us on Thursday, 18th June at 13:00 CEST for a dedicated session with Pooja on how to position yourself for success in today’s AI projects.
